MISSION:

We were asked to understand the client’s new project wherein a specific healthcare scenario or intervention is analyzed in depth using statistical techniques within the R programming language, to evaluate its economic impact and effectiveness on patient outcomes using clinical data including patient demographics, treatment arms, health outcomes (e.g., mortality, quality of life), and associated costs.

ACTION:

Our Rang team were involved in the cleaning and formatting the data for analysis, using the right statistical analysis which is Cox proportional hazards model to compare survival rates between treatment groups, employing a utility function to estimate quality-adjusted life years (QALYs), calculating the total cost of treatment for each patient group, using a decision analytic model to calculate the incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) and most important creating a cost-effectiveness plane to visually represent the trade-off between cost and effectiveness.

RESULT:

Through our team’s efforts and capabilities, our client achieved the creation of a cost-effective plane by using complex analyses that increase the overall company productivity and efficiency.
